- Enlisted and entered active service on February 24, 1944. Completed basic training at the Naval Training Center, Women's Reserve (WAVES, Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service), Bronx, New York, At Hunter College, and specialized as a Storekeeper. Assigned to and served at the Naval Barracks, Washington, D.C. honorably discharged as a Storekeeper First Class on August 5, 1946 at the Naval Personnel Separation Unit, Washington, D.C. earned the American Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.
