  Lois M. Powless, 100, of Flora, IL died at 10:20 AM Saturday, October 23, 2010 at The Christian Village in Lincoln, IL. She was born September 18, 1910 in Cisne, IL to Tom & Eliza (Rickard) Duke. She married Floyd L. Powless in 1930 in Carlyle, IL. He preceded her in death in 1989. She was a homemaker and her memberships included Clay County Home Extension and First Christian Church of Flora where she was a lifelong member of the EverReady Sunday School Class. Lois is survived by her daughters: Marion Wimer of Columbus, OH and Margaret Green & husband Don of Lincoln; sister: RaJean Gibbs of Flora; 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son (Floyd), 2 brothers (Albert & Charles Duke), and 1 sister (Helen Morris). Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home with Ryan Edgecombe officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Flora. Visitation will be from 10 AM until time of service on Tuesday at Frank & Bright Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Lincoln Christian University or First Christian Church of Flora.
