- Andrew taught school for 18 years in Clay co, IL
He was 5'10'' tall teacher with black hair and black eyes, when he joined the Army in Civil War,and served 1844-1846. He was a Sgt in company F, 46th Regt.Illinois Infantry. (He and younger brother Francis Marion Shore joined the same company and regiment on the same day, and served together in Civil War.)
Andrew began medical practice in Pixley township, Clay co, IL in 1873.
NOTE: His dates of military service shown above are probably a typographical error. The Civil was was from 1861-1865.
