  Roy, son of Lewis and Louisa Lane, was born July 12, 1889, in Wayne county, in the Cisne-Geff vicinity, and he grew to manhood and spent his life in that general area. For some 12 years he was employed with the Pure Oil company but retired in December, 1954. Mr. Lane was a member of the Buckeye Christian church. Also, the Beech Bluff Order of the Sword of Bunker Hill No. 68 and the Masonic Lodge.
