Earned the Presidential Unit Citation with 1 star, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with 4 bronze battle stars, WWII Victory Medal, and the Philippine Liberation Medal with 1 bronze battle star. Honorably discharged as a Fireman First Class on March 7, 1946 at the Naval Personnel Separation Center, USN Base Treasure Island, San Pedro, California.
