She was a member of Clay City United Methodist Church, where she served as head greeter for several years, and was a member of the Ad Council and the Queen Esther Sunday School Class. She joined the Venus Rebekah Lodge in 1949. During her membership, she was Noble Grand, past District President and State Appointee.
