- Luella was a member of the Life Tabernacle in Murray. She retired after a long career from Murray State University. God and her family were foremost priorities in her life. She enjoyed being outdoors and watching her children & grandchildren play sports. All who met her described her as a sweet, caring person, who enjoyed helping others.
Born April 20, 1947, in Olney, IL, she was the daughter of the late Arnold Orville Frutiger and the late Lela Welch Frutiger.
She married Paul Robert Humphrey, Sr., on April 20, 1971, of New Concord, KY, who survives.
Along with her husband, she is survived by three children, Renee (Travis) Lipe of Carbondale, IL, Randy Humphrey of Hazel, KY, and Ryan Humphrey of Murray, KY; three stepchildren, Patty (Frank) Verdu of Edwardsville, IL, Paul Robert (Christie) Humphrey, Jr., of Granite City, IL, and Phillip Humphrey of Collinsville, IL; a sister-in-law, Gloria Frutiger of Vandalia, IL; twelve grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Danny Frutiger, and a nephew, Austin Frutiger.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St./ P.O. Box 788 Paris, TN 38242. A private graveside service will be held Friday, November 26, 2021, at 1:00 pm at the Dillman Cemetery located by Louisville, IL. Her son-in-law, Rev. Travis Lipe will conduct the service
