Notes |
- He was a member of First Christian Church in West Salem. In his younger days, he worked in the oilfield and later for the State of Illinois as a bridge maintenance crew member in nine counties for more than 30 years.
Bill loved his family, fishing, gardening and good books. Above all else, he valued honesty and fairness with little tolerance for those who did not. This value he passed on to his daughters and grandsons. Until the end, whenever possible, he could be found on the front porch with family and friends, drinking iced tea and waving at those who passed by.
