  Divorced: Dan, as he was usually called, was of a cheerful and bright disposition, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. It was during his late sickness that he confessed his Saviour and joined the M. E. church at Newberry. He said to a friend on Sunday that his future was bright, and the he was willing and ready to meet his God.
