    John and his family moved within Cherokee territory over the years, often crossing state boundries which were irrelevant to the Cherokee. In 1831 he recieved premission from the Georgia gov. to remain in Union County with his Cherokee wife and 1/2 Cherokee children and not be removed (to Ok)
